I'll add the library for kicks and see what happens.

I'm eagerly awaiting sqlite3 database!

Re: 0.7.5 Preview r1068

What's the sensitivity in how much earlier you can be on the note now? I swear either you've made it absolutely zero or the game doesn't detect all my keypresses (behind the scenes, because it shows in the particleeffect thing) - pedal or no pedal.

Re: Opinions on 2 specific Yamaha Keyboards

My Kawai MP9000 is closing up on 15 years and it performs like a champ. It doesn't have the newest features and the most backing track stuff and such, but I've experienced no other digital piano with the same action, it just blows any new digital piano i look at in stores (that doesn't cost $3000 an...

Re: Looking for a keyboard on a budget

A sound from the piano last longer than the duration of your keypress. It means for example if you drag your hand quickly along the keys from top to bottom, you'll only hear the bottom 16 white keys, even if the top ones should still be ringing. Same if you do it other way around. For computer progr...

Re: Changing manually to YouPlay behaviour

Wouldn't it make more sense if you had a dropdown (rightclick) on a track and select "Solo, all other played but hidden" or "Solo, all other not played" ? That way you could do it for any track, not just the first one.

Re: 0.7.5 Preview r1068

Oh, you're saying just from a stylistic point of view? You're holding the pedal not because it's what's showing in the song, but because you like the sound more? That feels like the "Exhibition Mode" item on the voting list. There is a good chance scoring will just be completely disabled while in t...

Re: 0.7.5 Preview r1068

Sounds like a job for (me to implement using) a sostenuto pedal . That would solve the problem. Though, unless you have a high-end digital piano (or Raymond' application), you probably don't have one. At the very least, there is already support for it in the MIDI standard. Not sure I've ever seen a...

Re: 0.7.5 Preview r1068

This discourages holding the pedal the entire song. However for some songs (like Moonlight Sonata) holding the pedal for quite some time makes it sound better. In the start if you hold the complete duration of the left hand A, i suppose your A C E -combos will be worthless for the first three atlea...

Re: dual monitor support

Yes, but then it's not multiple monitors, it's "one" monitor. It's also very restrictive when you don't have identical screens. I cannot run 3 screens in eyefinity without losing pixels

Re: Lag?

The sound lag is the way your computer works. Your soundcard if using Directsound has a buffer that lasts for typically 20-50ms by default. If you have any options in output device to either route it back to your keyboard (if it produces souund), or use a built-in synth for your soundcard (for examp...

Re: dual monitor support

Using a secondary monitor is do-able now with the configuration tool introduced in 0.7.4. Spanning multiple monitors should be possible with the config tool in conjunction with the options available in your video driver. Here is a video that cairnz made with Synthesia running across three monitors ...

win-p is just a quick way to tell how to render: primary screen, clone mode primary + projector (or secondary screen), extended mode (which i use for the video) and external (projector) only.

How will you know if it's an Am6 or F#m7b5 (first inversion) that's being played? Show all possible keys that can have this key combination?
