Re: My own composition; Labyrinthe - Formé

This is profoundly beautiful. What a superb mind and touch.

It has a Yian Tiersanesque feel but also feels so original too.

Well Done.

Sounds great I can imagine being in a tavern in the old west hearing that song.

Nice one, Also got a very nice version of this number - I think played a little faster.
For me its an absolute monster on the base hand.

Good days work

Re: Coding (channeling?) MIDI files for separate hands colou

As for doing the splitting, the only ways I've found are super tedious too. I use an ancient version of Cakewalk Express (circa 1998). Looking just now, the closest product offering they've got seems to be Sonar X1 but I can't find a demo to try it out and find the new way to do it. Still, my metho...

Re: Czerny & Friends #1

Jim,

I think that this is a brilliant and generous midi you have made.

I'd like a whole series of exercises ranging from medium to v difficult...

I have never tried doing exercises mainly because I never knew any.

Thanks you so much

Re: What kinds of MIDI files do you want?

I am sure its totally fine Stephan...

V nice song, a little slow for my tastes but really great base hand.
Worth learning for that added skill set.

Keep them coming,

Re: free midi recorder and editor

Hi Swalker,

Does this little program have the same functionality as GarageBand (GB Does not export midi files)
and Logic (Does export midi)...

Does it hook up easily to older keyboards???

Thanks

Re: What kinds of MIDI files do you want?

Here's a site with a free video tutorial of how to play Rhianna and M&M's "Love the way you lie". They are hoping to entice you to subscribe for more lessons but maybe this type of video tutorial will be what some of you are looking for. Thanks Jim, It is customary however to include the url you wa...

Re: My First Midi - Not Titled

Mat, Those both have a nice melodic feel. Oddly, I felt the practice track was the smoother of the two. I don't know that I can add much to improve what you've done. What do you feel you are struggling with at this point? Weeeellll, A name would be a good start... Then there is the need for a bette...

My First Midi - Not Titled

Hi Guys, Right this is my first Midi Club song posting. This tune has been kicking inside my head for weeks. So today I sat down and tried to lay it down for y'all so please understand it is still very raw, and I want your help to make it sound the way it should. This is why the Midi Club was formed...

Re: What kinds of MIDI files do you want?

Hi Guys, I am about to do something in the legal GRAY AREA... But I think its fine cause there are no midis involved. I have recently stumbled upon a website - http://freepianoinstrumental.com/ Now whoever created it does piano instrumentals of popular songs for solo piano. Don't know who it is but ...

Re: Scott Joplin - Maple Leaf Rag

Wow, that is so cool, it looks as though you could really hurt yourself trying to play it. It sounds great... If I were to comment on anything, all I would say is that you should try lower the base hand a touch in volume to bring out the melody a bit more. Otherwise is brilliant. Two thumbs up. mat

Re: What kinds of MIDI files do you want?

In fact, maybe a series of midi files of the SAME song with progressively nicer arrangements would be MOST awesome ;) I think that is a really good suggestion Steve... Might be a little tough to get our hands on but a great suggestion... Like Billy J's The Piano Man ... From easy to crazy skills......

Hi guys, I am more than willing to help and I do not think it will be a big task managing and mediating this. From what I have read so far most people are respectful of Nick's wishes and don't intentionally go out to abuse the privileges given. Its just a matter of keeping folks informed of the prin...
