Re: Can only watch, can't practice.

Below the Watch and Listen Only box should be: Hands, Colors, and Instruments. Click on that. The bottom left box may say: Background, Custom, Left Hand or Right Hand. Click on it, and if it says Background, select Left or Right hand or even Custom. Once you get that set up, you should be able to pr...

Re: Move profile from Mac to Win10

I'm not familiar with a Mac, but on a Windows PC your profile is stored here: Users\(your account name)\AppData\Roaming\Synthesia It's a hidden folder, so in the Windows explorer window menu click on View and put a check mark for "Hidden Items" On your Mac, you might find it by searching for a folde...

Re: Change the selected keys on screen piano keyboard

On your second issue, go to settings, music input and make sure the Note Range is set for your keyboard.

When playing a song, on the upper bar select the magnifying glass and select "My Keyboard".

After that you should be all set.

Hope this helps!

Re: Keyboards with illuminated keys

This is how I got mine to work with the Yamaha EZ-220. Click on: Settings - Music Devices - Music Output (Which shows Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth on mine) Under use this this device for: You should see "Keylights" When I click on Keylights it shows on Channel 1 my EZ-220. And of course you must mak...

Re: Good; perfect; barely, Recital comments

Changing the Graphics scale override worked great.
It also made the Notes/Errors box stand out much more. (And I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not! :) )

Thanks!

Re: Good; perfect; barely, Recital comments

Sounds like a great solution. I've realized I created the problem myself by plugging a large monitor into my laptop. It spreads everything out much more than it would on my laptop screen. It's a minor issue and if it really bothered me, I'd go back to the laptop screen. But I think Synthesia looks g...

Good; perfect; barely, Recital comments

When playing a song in Recital mode, the evaluation of your efforts sometimes appear on the screen. I've noticed that since I'm focused on lower half of the screen, raising my eyes up to read the evaluation can only be done at certain points. Would it be possible to allow the end user to adjust the ...

Synthesia lost all data

A couple of days ago, when I started Synthesia I noticed a took a second as it was scanning my computer for midis. Once loaded, I noticed it was locked, so I re-entered the unlock code. My profile was gone and all history was blank. I played a couple of songs and everything seemed to be working as e...

Re: Keyboards with illuminated keys

I have the EZ-220 and the lighted keys work just fine with Synthesia.

I don't quite get what you mean when you ask if it "speaks" the keys.

Weighted key on electronic keyboard

Hi, Last Christmas my wife decided to get me an electronic keyboard which I've been thinking about for years. It was my first venture in anything musical so I shopped around and picked up on some features. I assumed the best one to get would be one that had 88 weighted keys for starters. Well, my wi...

Sustain Pedal

As a new user with a new keyboard, I haven't figured out when to use the sustain pedal.
Is there a general rule of thumb, or are there notations later on indicating that it's time to press the pedal?

Thanks!

Re: Add a SAVE button

Thanks for the quick reply. Synthesia runs great, it's the old laptop. I didn't want to bore you with too much detail, but it's battery is no longer any good and any power fluctuation causes the old lap top to shut down. As I usually leave it running along with Synthesia, I lose any progress unless ...

Add a SAVE button

I use an old laptop to run Synthesia with my keyboard and it works great. Using an old spare laptop means I can leave it connected all the time. The issue I have, which is a problem with the old laptop is that it will on rare occasion, lockup. Restarting is easy, but I lose all my progress. I was wo...

Music Store questions

Hi, I got a Yamaha EZ-220 for Christmas and purchased Synthesia the same day. I have zero experience in keyboarding or music in general, but have been practicing everyday due to the fun nature of Synthesia. Anyway, I was browsing the music store and was wondering if those midis have the left-right h...
