Re: is there a thread here that has a bunch of good piano so

Agreed, let's respect copyrights. Even in spite of the rotten ethics of some of the recording companies. I've read that the composer/artist only gets a small portion of the sheet music sales, the bulk of it goes to the publishers. That's something they have to deal with regarding their own conscienc...

Re: The MIDI Club

Thank you jimhenry for thorough answers. I've considered buying access to some of the sites I mentioned simply because I would probably get midis of good quality, if only for that reason. There is a musician on a campaign here in my country against illegal download, on behalf of composers. He says o...

General Discussion about THE MIDI CLUB

I want to grab the opportunity to be the first to express thanks for this platform, a very good initiative. I must say though, that those copyright laws, or rather my lack of understanding of them, has troubled me a bit. So I have a few questions that I'm hoping you who know about copyright rules, t...

Re: Sorting Music Into Folders?

Agree with you guys, a huge MIDI collection makes it heavy for the program, always have the feeling it's going to crash (though it hasn't yet) after arranging the list in the window. So I decided to watch only the G major music folder and change to the other collections when I want to play them. Whe...

Re: in game chord identifyer

Sorry swalker133 for being so unclear about this. What I meant was I don't see the point in showing what chord you're playing, provided it's the wrong chord (or keys, because incorrect keys pressed can possibly be no chord at all, just randomly played notes.) When you play wrong keys they just show ...

Re: in game chord identifyer

I for one would rather like to see the chord symbols associated with the notes BEFORE they are played, like jimhenry explained either above the bars or as a symbol down below. Don't see the point in showing what notes one is playing in the song, provided they are the wrong notes. Except there would ...

Re: 2010 Roadmap

Yes, I suppose you have to scale down or define the program, what it is and what it should be able to do. I myself would like to see the sheet feature improved and being able to enter finger numbers. MIDI-editing or related features are less important. Assume by doing too much, you can easily break ...

Re: 0.8.0 Preview r1125

Thank you Nicholas , that's very good to hear. But till then I want to bring to everyone's attention that Gmajor music theory (the site with all the Synthesia built-in MIDIs) has the sheet music for most of the songs with fingering. We can't learn the fingering techniques completely from sheets with...

Re: midi composer software?

Then there is Anvil Studio . I don't know if it can be said that it's not too complex. There is a piano bar chart, but I never got around to use it. I I mainly used the notation window, so I can't say if it's simple. I kind of gave up on those free/open source notation programs and decided to pay up...

I agree, I have been listening to his arrangements and he adds his own special touch to the songs. Here is the link to his channel.

Re: Scores in waiting mode

Regarding having extra voices in P85 piano, I'm not so sure it's possible after looking better into the subject. It seems as if the piano just matches what is sent to instrument with some of the built-in voices. But I'd be happy if anyone could inform me (us) if Synthesia has the option to make keyb...

Re: No Left and Right hand

Well... A lot of these programs like Anvil Studio and Sibelius, dont 'split' the tracks. But only Musescore does (so far as I know). You can try to open the wizard, and create a partition and recreate it. And maybe its also easier if you have the original file opened it too - in a new tab. (Hit Tab...

Re: Scores in waiting mode

I just had to insert the latest version to get the Change keyboard setting feature to appear. The lighting worked perfectly with the demo songs. After that it was no question I'd get the learning pack, so I did. The lighting feature makes it almost idiot-proof, just what I need. I tried it wit...

Re: Scores in waiting mode

Thanks again, as there were not many votes for Exhib. mode I voted for it. As long as it doesn't reach the top of the list I'll just tell myself I'm not as bad as the scores say (just kidding, I sometimes get good scores, at least in my opinion. :) ) I've tried the demo songs in practice/wait mode w...

Re: Scores in waiting mode

One Two Thank you for you reply, Nicholas . Regarding the lists, I now see that it works when I put the star [ *] in front of the item text. I checked the link and understand the score system better now. I've been using Synthesia for a few months for my practice, but only yesterday I got my MIDI/US...

Scores in waiting mode

Hi, sorry if this question has been posted before but I couldn't find it. I'm wondering if the score system works the same way in waiting mode of the learning pack as in normal mode whether in the free version or the learning pack, when the song continues even if you miss notes or play wrong ones. D...

By using this program below you can access material which is closed for Chinese Internet users. http://anchorfree.com/ Press the link "Download Hotspot Shield" The program routes your internet traffic through a server in USA. Re: Is the really no site with recommended MIDI's ?

You took the words right of my mouth on this matter, walther. The files on mididb.com for pop/rock songs are maybe not bad, but it takes forever to pick out 3 - 4 instruments without converting the song into Twinkle, twinkle little star. Then there is sometimes the task of transposing and reading in...
