Quiz Mode / Game Mode

When looking at the Feature Voting page I see a Quiz Mode only for beginners. Is this Quiz Mode the same as 'game mode' where you're going to practice things - i.e. not only answering questions? If that 's the case, why only for beginners?

Page not found error

If I go from this page to 'Feature Voting' and there I click on the link to login I get an error 'page not found' after logging in returning to the previous page (Feature Voting page). Is it something of this forum or something in my browser/cache?

Re: Question about keyboard

Hi, all I am searching for a very cheap 88 (or something between 49 and 88) key MIDI keyboard with USB interface and volume control. Have you guys any suggesetions? If you are really planning to play much, please don't buy one with 49 keys. Take one with as much as keys possible for your budget. On...

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r847

I might know what he's talking about now. The keyboard may be showing that last black key lit up, but I'm pretty sure the various modes will still treat it correctly. That's actually an old drawing glitch. The boundaries should still be correct. So, things like "auto-play notes outside my range" sh...

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r847

That makes more sense now. I initially read it "High-Fi" like high fidelity... as in, stereo equipment. And I had no idea what he was talking about. Now I do. :) As for a black key being the last key on your device, I'm assuming those don't exist. I've never seen one. If someone can prove me wrong,...

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r847

Synthesia thinks my computer keyboard can play a high fis, which he can not. What do you mean by this? What is a "high fis"? a fis is a f# i.e. a raised f (black key). Is it possible that keyboards always end on white keys in stead of a black key? I think Kasper meant the highest note on his keyboa...

Re: Copyrights

I wish to know when you want to make your MIDI piece base on a score from a book and put it online for people to use, how does the copyright come into place? For example, Wilder Reiter by Robert Schumann from Album für die Jugend, but the score is from the ABRSM publishing. How does the copyright c...

Hi Nicholas, Beyonder wrote: ooh, I just thought of something. How feasible would it be after you have selected the device boundaries that when you select the song it tells you how many notes are outside your range ? WIll it be possible to get information too about ranges if you have a larger keyboa...

Re: bookmarks

Added a new zipped bookmarks file, removed all the old ones. See the first post. Not splitted this time (just no time right now) and most people downloaded the complete file anyway. For who doesn't know yet: if you don't know where to find information about keyboard manuals, midi files, (free) sheet...

Re: Copyright of Midis

I was asking it because I want to get legal music. But I don't want to pay for something, if it's stil illegal. When you pay for it, it's normally legal for you to use it, but not legal to share it with others or to re-distribute it. A lot of companies already pay the royalties for you. I think you...

Re: New Site Preview

You can try to harmonize them on the left hand, which can be also a nice exercise. Whoah, have you tried that already? I don't want an exercise right now, the last piece in level 5 took already more than 2 days. :D But you're right, it *can* be nice exercises. ;) Perhaps somewhere in the future.

Re: New Site Preview

Why should you use this method; does it increse the chance of finding the right midi? It allows you also finding midi files which fit to your "quality criterias", here a nice collection I found while searching for "march" "polka" type of melodies, I can recommend them to all Synthesia users, I like...

Re: Copyright of Midis

Is HDpiano legal ? I don't know. As far as I know he uses some copyrighted stuff for his video's, but it's possible that he pays for it and that's why you have to pay for it too if you want to use one of the midi files. But even if you have paid for it, it doesn't mean that it is legal to re-distri...
