Re: Split song

I'm now able to delete a part of the notes, but I can't delete a part of the song. So I'll stil have to wait for 3 minutes before I get my highscore. Is there a way to not only delete the notes but also the complete measure ? GNMIDI works perfect though, but it's shareware, so if it's possible with...

Re: Split song

It seems to me that anvil only split higher notes from lower nots, but not the entire file.. Is there another program (it doesn´t have to be free) which can easily split entire midi's ? You can make a copy of your midi file - load the copy and then truncate it - ie delete from a certain part in you...

You could for example try a free version of Anvil Studio,
but not easy to do if you can't read notes to split horizontally, unless your file has only 1 track.

Re: New Site Preview

If you click the title of any given post (like, say the "Re: New Site Preview" just above this sentence), your browser address bar will change to be exactly what you want to go right to the post you just clicked. In particular: the &t=XXX part just directs the forum to load the right topic. the &p=...

Re: New Site Preview

The MIDI Attachments page is a little better now. Poster names are shown. MIDI attached in the Bugs, either "Help", or Development updates section are no longer shown. They're probably buggy to begin with and lower the signal-to-noise ratio of the list. The topic links now go straight to the post-i...

Have you watched the new video on the frontpage already? Because that one shows you how to do it. It's up since last night.

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r814

Sure I am... I just like it to be consistent with his list. Because of my ineptitude I feel kind of powerless in situations like these. ;) You want it to be consistent with his list? But it isn't , already for a long time, because he 's making more and more pieces too. You and powerless, I don't be...

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r814

See... this is where my ineptitude with the piano can defend me! :D That was what I was getting at by "I wonder if the fingerings make it easier". From the sound of it, they do the opposite. Maybe I'll move it. If one of you guys can convince Gilbert, I'd be even happier about moving it. ;) W...

Re: 0.7.2 Preview r814

Sonatina Piccatina is listed in Easy music... For what it's worth, Gilbert has it listed in Easy at G Major Music Theory , where I got those originally... You're right that it's much longer. And it's certainly the hardest of the bunch, though it doesn't seem much worse than the Ode to Joy that is i...

Allright, thanks Nicholas. At least I know now what is going on so I don't have to be surprised anymore to see my words disappear and trying over and over again to get them back. :D

Re: forum trouble

Does it mean now that it will not happen anymore because you have added a <hr> code or do I still need to watch out not to make too long (dashed) lines?

Re: forum trouble

Oh, so you're talking about the descriptions in the middle of the forum post body? Not in the individual file descriptions? Yes, exactly the description in the middle of the forum post body, not in the individual file descriptions for the attachments. I can see words wrapped up to the previous line...

Re: forum trouble

Yeeeeh, I removed part of the broken line just before the word "out", pressed Enter and now it appears, so you're probably right Nicholas, that it has something to do with the length of the text. Hmm, now I think about it, if I have a broken line, without a space, it will see it as 1 word. I placed...

Re: forum trouble

... well at least the result, because you can't look at my edit screen. I can see your edit screen. ;) It looks like you pulled all those descriptions up out into the body of the post? All the "English Folk", "French Folk", etc. descriptions are appearing correctly. I wonder if there is some limit ...
