I'm using a yamaha p-85 with a cheap knock off adapter from ebay, looks exactly like this so no idea what's the model

And i just tried enabling the hard midi reset, didn't help, when i open awoken2 it still has no sound and synthesia gets stuck in processes.

I would agree with you 100% if it didn't work perfectly on other versions on synthesia, it only does it with this current version and only that song(might be other songs i haven't tested too).

MIDI can be a funny thing. I have situations where my Midisport 4x4 works and my Emu Xmidi does not. Not in Synthesia but in other, more demanding applications. Not saying the MIDI cable is your problem. Just saying you are more at risk for strange MIDI problems with those "no name" cables.

Well i can't really afford a high quality brand midi cable, those things are insanely expensive where i live, up to 100 dollars!, so i guess i'll stick to older versions if the new versions have incompatibilities with my crappy cable, only problems is r2571 worked fine for me but i deleted it when i got the new version, now there's no way to get it...
