J.S. Bach: Prelude 1 in C Major, BWV 846, from the Well-Tempered Clavier. Transcribed from the Czerny edition. This edition contains "an extra bar between bars 22 and 23 known as the "Schwencke measure", a measure allegedly added by Christian Friedrich Gottlieb Schwencke in an attempt to correct what he or someone else erroneously deemed a "faulty" progression, even though this sort of progression was standard in Bach's music." The zip file includes
- MIDI file
- XML file
- compressed XML file (MXL)
- MuseScore file
- PDF from the MuseScore file
- PDF of the Czerny score
The left hand notes need to be split from the right in measures 1-7. The right hand notes need to be split from the left in measure 34. The finger hints suggested by Czerny can be seen in the PDF files. I only have the iPad version of Synthesia so I can't provide a .synthesia file for this.
This YouTube video shows a good performance of the piece:

This played quite a bit more slowly than the 112 bpm Allegro indicated by Czerny.

This is based on a public domain score published before 1923. I release any rights I may have in the attached materials to the public domain.
Nicholas, you are welcome to include this with Synthesia 11.
