Partial keyboard lit up in free play
No explicit, hateful, or hurtful language. Nothing illegal.
The lit up area matches the range of notes from all your Music Input devices (on the Settings screen).
So, to light everything up, you can connect an 88-key keyboard. Or disable all inputs altogether.
Often, a better alternative is to change the zoom (magnifying glass at the top-right) to "My Keyboard". That will hide the darkened area by making the keyboard keys larger until only the lit keys are showing.

Thanks for the response. One other question, is there anyway i can make my own song? How does that work if i want to play my own song that i wrote? how to record that with synthesia? or do i have to record that in GarageBand first then export to MIDI then load it in synthsia? thank u.
You'll need to use a third-party app to create songs. (I'm actually not sure whether Garageband can export to MIDI. Last I'd checked -- admittedly, many years ago -- the best they could do was a final audio export. They may have added it in the meantime. Otherwise, other good Mac alternatives include MuseScore or Aria Maestosa.
