I don't think this is currently possible and I couldn't find an existing feature request, but having separate left/right bookmarks would be helpful for me when practicing the melody as I encounter different challenges with the left vs right hand and it would be nice if only the left-hand user bookmarks showed when the left hand is practicing and only right-hand user bookmarks appear when the right hand is practicing.

I can't say I remember ever hearing anyone ask for this distinction before.

I'm trying to think of how the interface would look without feeling too fiddly. I wonder if a more general purpose "here are a few different colors for bookmarks, you can turn them on/off independently" might be more useful overall. That would work for more than just left/right hand and kind of leave things up to the user so they could use it however they like.
