I am totally new to Synthesia and only purchased it a few days ago.
In those few short days I have already been able to learn more than I have in all the last 6 months of ownership of my keyboard.
It might be to soon for me to make suggestions but I'll just throw them out there for the hell of it.

One way to get something close to multiple loops right now is to use bookmarks combined with some of the more useful shortcuts.
1. Set bookmarks at the boundary between each of the sections you'd like to practice separately.
2. Use Shift+comma and Shift+period to "walk" the loop between successive bookmarks. So, once you're done practicing one section, just hit Shift+period to move the loop between the next pair of bookmarks.
That's a nice, super fast way to manipulate the location of your loop.
Regarding per-hand volume, we're hoping to add better volume mixing control for all tracks (including background instruments). That should solve that problem.
