One thing l've noticed :
My score is allways much better when i don't use the pedal....
I prefer use the pedal... The sound is better

When describing problems, always mention your OS and game version (shown at the bottom of the title screen).

I really need to test with a pedal more often...
As far as I know, at this point (in 10.7, and for at least a few releases prior to it), the pedal should have essentially zero impact to anything besides simply being sent directly out to your output devices. It's no longer a factor in scoring and doesn't "hold notes open" the way it used to in older versions.
So, it's been curious whenever I hear that the pedal either changes scores or (worse) that it somehow manages to prevent new notes from coming in while it's held.
