I was hoping to learn playing the piano ALSO using Synt (I have lessons too). But I find that just the free version only teaches me some muscle memory
Will the learning pack help me combine sheet and game? So I can just use the sheets later on?

When describing problems, always mention your OS and game version (shown at the bottom of the title screen).

There is already partial sheet mode if you wanna practice that, and the pause until right keys are pressed for melody training is especially good for sight reading. But the best part about Synthesia the constant updates. New modes and features are coming with users suggestion, and I believe there is a suggestion for sheet only mode although I'm not sure about the progress on that yet.

you can test the sheet mode if you select "learnig pack" in the main screen
