Synthesia crashes when I try to make the window bigger

Hmm, it's a little hard to tell what's going on. The crash is definitely happening in the Intel graphics driver when Synthesia tries to clear the screen (at the start of the frame, presumably just after the resize).

Could you tell me a little more about your graphics hardware? Is this a desktop or laptop? Is it very old? Is there a newer version of the Intel driver for your graphics?
