Extra lighted key?

Trouble with Synthesia, your keyboard, or adapter? Think you found a bug?
When describing problems, always mention your OS and game version (shown at the bottom of the title screen).

If your keyboard has USB or MIDI ports, there is a tremendously high chance (>99%) it will work with Synthesia. See what you'll need on the keyboards page.

Hello Mob

When previewing a song I am having an extra key light up? Software or "my" hardware. The extra lighted key is not always adjacent to the correct lighted key(s).

My hardware:Keyboard casio LK-160, IPAD 10.5 running 12.2, Synthesia ver 10.5.3.4922 connected via USB.

Have not used for sometime as I have just moved, if this is already covered/explained kindly point me to the reference.

Oh and I did a restart of the iPad too see if that cleared the issue and it did not.

Hopefully the attachment will show up.

Is this happening in all songs or just those you've added to Synthesia separately?

And are the extra lights consistent? That is, if you rewind the song, does the same incorrect light show again at the same time? Or is it essentially random every time?

Thanks for the response Nicholas

I just sampled those songs that came with Synthesia, it appears to be the black keys, and if I rewind the song they are lighting up consistently ( "Incorrect light" ). I just picked another "Ye Knights of the round table", on this occasion three black keys ( and if I rewind the black keys seem to sync also, by that I mean they will briefly light wile I rewind. I interpret that as their getting a signal from somewhere ) lighted off as opposed to just two on the last "twinkle" episode.

If I turn off the lights then not noticeable ( duh ), I think my recent move and vibration may have triggered this "extra" light improvisation episode. I supposed it could be bug in your software, seems unlikely after so many iterations.

So I will pass it on ( Goodwill or other local charity ) with a note about lights "misbehaving" and use it as an excuse for a new better quality keyboard.

Till the next episode.
