Problem connecting keyboard to computer

Trouble with Synthesia, your keyboard, or adapter? Think you found a bug?
When describing problems, always mention your OS and game version (shown at the bottom of the title screen).

If your keyboard has USB or MIDI ports, there is a tremendously high chance (>99%) it will work with Synthesia. See what you'll need on the keyboards page.

So recently I bought a MIDI-to-USB-cable and connected the keyboard to the computer.
In settings I've selected 'UM-ONE' which is my keyboard and also 'Use this device' is checked. However whenever I want to play 'Practice Melody: Song waits for you', synthesia doesn't get the keyboard input. Am I missing something here? I really don't know what to do now.

Here are my settings:

On that second screen, what happens if you play notes on your keyboard? Do they show up? Can you set your keyboard's range?

If nothing is responding, try swapping the In and Out cables going to your UM-ONE adapter.
