Hi Community,
when playing songs in Synthesia by notes, how do you know how many bars the count-in is?
Sometimes it counts up 2 bars, sometimes 3 or 4, then 7 again (?).
How do you know when the song starts?

No explicit, hateful, or hurtful language. Nothing illegal.
You previously asked about the metronome count-in on 2020-06-01. Unfortunately, Synthesia still behaves the way it did then.
Synthesia always starts a specific amount of seconds before the first note:
If Settings → Gameplay → Song Title is on, Synthesia starts 5.5 seconds before the first note.
If Settings → Gameplay → Song Title is off, Synthesia starts 2.5 seconds before the first note.
Unfortunately, this can't be changed.
The metronome count-in has been previously discussed in threads such as the following. It sounds like it is a known issue and is somewhere on the developer's long list of things to eventually work on.
2022-10-09: Metronome starts on 2nd beat?
2020-06-01: Pre-Count Bars amount changing
2017-06-20: Metronome Count-in

If you are on a Windows computer, I made an AutoHotkey script to start the song with multiple measures of count-in clicks as a workaround. See the thread Count-In Workaround (Windows, AutoHotkey).
