I tried it out and it is playable. The only problem is when it suddenly comes alot of black notes. Btw I got over 100 errors like each time I tried it now. But it's usualy many errors like that when trying a new song for the first times for me. My guess is that you tried the song alot of times on practice mode before you could get 178 notes hit with 27 errors on 50%.
Edit: I need to rest, my fingers hurt a bit.

There's a few places that get tricky when you're playing it fast but, so long as you get the left hand down, it's certainly manageable. My problem now is that I practiced the really hard parts so much that I can breeze through them, and then some simple chord will screw me up. My highest now is 3 errors at 100%.Rickeeey wrote:I tried it out and it is playable. The only problem is when it suddenly comes alot of black notes.
I turned away from Ave Maria and moved over to Canon in D. I think it's a beautiful piece, sure it's slow but the fingering is nasty. That's why I try to mainly figure out how to play it by sheet music instead of Synthesia, still Synthesia helps when I need it. I will return to Ave Maria later.
Edit: The measures 5-9 in the song Canon D are quite hard to learn.

Yeah, I love Canon. The easier version of it was one of the first pieces I was really in a rush to learn. I haven't tried the one on Hard yet, though.Rickeeey wrote:I turned away from Ave Maria and moved over to Canon in D. I think it's a beautiful piece, sure it's slow but the fingering is nasty. I've been dividing my time between Sonatina Piccolina and Ave Maria, though. I've got Ave Maria down, for the most part, but I still manage to miss two or three notes every time. For Sonatina, the speed at the end is just insane, so I'm still stuck at 70-80%, but it's a blast to play.
Yeah, I keep putting that off since it's... well, a pain in the a** and I can only manage simple pieces. But lately I've been trying to memorize the piece as I go, then I try and get through it on Practice with my eyes closed.Rickeeey wrote:Well the reason except for the fingering that I'm tring Canon with sheet music instead of the usual way is because I think it's time to start getting used to playing by sheet music.
It's nice being able to play outside of Synthesia once and awhile because, on your own, you can sort of mix the modes and alter the timing freely. If you want to go back and try a section until you get it right, you can do that. If you want to ignore a mistake and keep going, you can do that. But then if you forget what comes next, you have to go look it up yourself, so I suppose every method has it's ups and downs.
When you are on your own it's always good to have Synthesia as your key, if something keeps going wrong it's always good to check it on Synthesia. I think I will start using this method more and more.Bissrok wrote:Yeah, I keep putting that off since it's... well, a pain in the a** and I can only manage simple pieces. I can see what you mean about the fingering for Canon in D. I played it for the first time today and, while I can get through it alright, my fingering feels sort of ridiculous, and I'm sure I use something new everytime.Rickeeey wrote:I turned away from Ave Maria and moved over to Canon in D. There's two parts in particular, though I don't know the measures off the top of my head. One is where you have to shift your left hand way over to the right, and the other is on the very last chord.
Where is that? The measure number is actually shown in Synthesia so try to find it. And the last chord is just a 2nd inversion of a C major chord for the right hand and two C notes with an octave distance in between for the left hand.Bissrok wrote:There's two parts in particular, though I don't know the measures off the top of my head.
